Acetowhitening mapping

Tissue acetowhitening relates closely to pathology and the application of acetic acid is a standard test used in colposcopy. The accurate evaluation of the intensity and duration of the phenomenon is a challenging task.

DySIS assesses the acetowhitening dynamics over the entire tissue after the application of dilute acetic acid solution in a standardized, homogeneous way. Image acquisition is initiated automatically, and after three minutes DySIS displays the pseudo-color map which describes the intensity and duration of acetowhitening across the cervix.

Practitioners may use this information in their assessment or when selecting the most atypical site for biopsy.
