6th Cervical Cancer Prevention Congress

31 January 2012

DySIS Medical presented the technology and benefits of DySIS in Lithuania during the 6th Cervical Cancer Prevention Congress, which was organized during the 6th Cervical Cancer Prevention Week organized by the European Cervical Cancer Associationthroughout Europe. The meetings took place in Kaunas (January 31) and Vilnius (February 1) and were attended by clinicians as well as hospital and government representatives.

This comes at a time that in several countries in Eastern Europe, cervical cancer is realized as a major health care issue for women, with incidence and mortality rates significantly higher than in Western European countries. While several countries in the region are trying to establish a national screening program, the introduction of innovative technology by adopting DySIS for colposcopy will assist in the earlier and accurate detection of cervical disease.
