ESGO delegates give DySIS digital colposcope approval

DySISmedical showcased its DySIS (Dynamic Spectral Imaging System) digital colposcope at the 17th International Meeting of the European Society of Gynaecological Oncology (ESGO) held recently in Milan, Italy.

Reaction to the DySIS was very positive with delegates commenting that it is more ergonomic, easier to use and more affordable than the early prototype shown at ESGO two years ago – which was the first digital colposcope with computer aided detection of premalignant cervical lesions to be commercially available.

Stuart Rogers, Sales & Marketing Director for DySISmedical, commented after the congress: "We were not surprised by the positive reaction to DySIS but were certainly pleased by the large numbers of delegates who were keen to know more about it."

Around 25 countries were represented at ESGO and because the focus is on Gyne-Oncology – a specialist field at which the digital colposcope is firmly targeted – the views of delegates were most important.

DySISmedical will exhibit next at the 2012 biennial meeting of the American Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology, in March in San Francisco, California.
